New Braunfels ISD is looking for Substitute Teachers that can commit to working at least 15 full day assigments per school year.  We keep the New Braunfels ISD's Substitute List shorter than other districts because we would like to give our Substitutes the opportunity to work on a consistent basis.  Mondays and Fridays are frequently needed, throughout our district.  We ask that you only apply if you are availbalbe to work these days.

Requirements (no exceptions):

• Fingerprinting (If selected from application, fingerprint information will be sent out.  Please do not do this on your own.)
• High School Diploma or Higher (original transcript will be required at orientation)
• Completion of State required, online compliance courses (sent out after selection from application process)
• Attendance at Substitute Onboarding

Process:

Fingerprinting:  Required through TX DPS for a fee of approximately $50.00 prior to being invited to Substitute Orientation (only if you are not already in the FACT Clearinghouse) .  Once you have completed your application and if you meet the minimum qualifications, a FAST Pass will be e-mailed to you explaining how to schedule your appointment for fingerprinting. 

Once the Human Resources Department receives your fingerprinting results, you will be contacted to schedule a new substitute onboarding session. 

Substitute Pay Information:

$110/day - Uncertified Sub   

$130/day - Texas Certified Teacher

$150/day - long term assignment over 15 days (sub must be a Texas Certified teacher)

$200/day - Vacant teaching position (sub must be a Texas Certified teacher)

*half day assignments are paid half of the daily rate
