Primary Purpose:
To analyze payroll related activities of the district to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Compile and prepare required TRS reporting monthly.
- Monitor and log status changes daily as employee situations regarding TRS occur.
- Monitor data quarterly to prepare and submit annual School Health and Related Services (SHARS) Certification of Funds Report.
- Work under supervision to assist preparing payroll for the district.
- Assist with completion and submission of state and federal payroll reporting requirements.
- Attend training sessions, conferences, workshops and webinars to further job knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

General Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certification/ Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Experience in payroll/accounting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of local, state and federal requirements relating to payroll issues and reports, basic accounting principles
- Keyboarding, file maintenance and use of general office equipment, 10 key by touch.
- Maintain accurate and auditable records
- Work with numbers in accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines
- Skilled in communications, organization and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, use a computer and software to create spreadsheets, databases and word processing.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.

- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse.
- Occasional light lifting and carrying, (less than 15 pounds).
- Frequently communicates with other employees or public. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Prolonged sitting; occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, twisting
- Work with frequent interruptions.
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
